The learning of French language is the subject of a wide variety of by the book methods, but often their effectiveness leaves much to be desired. One of the faults they can be criticized for is their complexity. This latter makes a number of readers, who are looking for a simpler and easier method of getting started in French, doubtful, without wanting to go further at first. This book was designed to meet this need. Her humble goal is limited to familiarizing its reader's mind with the basic vocabulary of French language. And that's all. To do this, it simply presents a selection of 1000 most common words in English and their closest meanings to each word in French. In order to simplify the presentation, we have avoided mentioning the French articles (le, la, un une…) as well as the category of words (adjective, adverb, verb…). The purpose of this deliberate deletion is not to interfere with the memorization of the vocabulary themselves. The reader thus has the possibility of creating without embarrassment an association between each term in English and its meanings in French. The book has two parts: first, the list of the 1000 words without any order. Because experience shows that an arrangement of words in alphabetical order makes it difficult to memorize them, due to the too much similarity of the letters that compose them. However, in the second part of the book the same words are presented again in alphabetical order to facilitate their search for those who want to find the meanings of a specific term, such as in a lexicon... We want this book to provide you with a basic knowledge of French, then you can complete it with more specific vocabulary in your preferred field.
